HES has secured a number of projects in four different sectors. The initial focus is still logistics and support to the country’s oil and gas, power and water industries. The company is actively supporting and facilitating exploration, extraction and development of hydrocarbon reserves in Sri Lanka.

To date, HES has successfully moved one rig from the Middle East to Thailand for EMAS Offshore and has contracts for four further rig moves from North America to Thailand. It has also been providing the full scope of services in support of CGG Veritas in its offshore seismic surveys for Cairn Energy. This has included helicopter transfers of personnel and vessel hire. HES is involved in camp accommodations via Convertainer. This service offers containerised mobile camp accommodation at a competitive price whilst maintaining a high level of quality. It has successfully secured two projects and is tendering for others.

Finally, HES is utilising Sri Lanka’s powerful IT resources and tapping into the skill in the local AutoCAD market. It has managed to secure a pilot project with ConocoPhillips and is also planning to assist Wood Group’s UK operations to update its ‘As-Built’ drawings. These drawings depict the final installed configuration, by indicating any construction deviations and show all features of the project, as actually ‘built,’ rather than as they were originally planned. These drawings provide a permanent record of as built conditions and are the key reference for future maintenance processes.
