Appointment of Marc Mazen Afyouni as Regional Director

Edgo appointed Marc Mazen Afyouni in Tripoli as Group Regional Director for Libya, Algeria and Chad. Mazen is taking over from Dr Maher Jadallah. Mazen joins us from Schlumberger with whom he has worked for 27 years since graduating from the University of Grenoble, France in 1981.

His initial position was as a wireline logging field engineer and during his time with Schlumberger, Mazen has gained considerable experience in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East in a number of capacities culminating in his appointment as General Manager of Schlumberger Oilfield Services in Chad. Mazen brings with him extensive knowledge and expertise in the oil and gas service industry in terms of management, business development and international operations. This experience coupled with his strong financial and legal exposure will contribute significantly to Edgo’s planned growth over the coming years. Mazen will also be taking onboard the Camco general manager’s role in Libya. Camco specialises in slickline, cased-hole logging, TCP and wireline perforation, surface well testing, mini DST and electronic memory gauges. Its scope of services will be expanded further in 2008 to include open-hole logging and multiphase flow meters.
