Amman, Jordan – April 26, 2025 – As part of Edgo’s Better Edgo Citizens (BEC) program, team members and their families gathered to participate in Edgo’s annual Arbor Day tree planting initiative. The event was organized in partnership with the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature (APN), a non-profit independent organization dedicated to protecting the environment and natural resources across Arab countries, in collaboration with the Asayel Badr Charity Association, a non-profit organization committed to empowering women.
The group convened at Asayel Badr’s location in Bayader, Wadi Al-Seer, where they were welcomed with a traditional Jordanian breakfast prepared by members of the association. Following breakfast, participants made their way to the planting site to begin the day’s activities.
Together, Edgo team members and their families planted 100 fruit trees, including cherry, olive, and almond varieties. In addition to celebrating Arbor Day, this planting activity forms part of Edgo’s broader sustainability initiatives, aimed at promoting environmental stewardship and community development.
All the trees planted are fruit-bearing, and in the future, they will help support local families by contributing to their household incomes, further reinforcing the link between environmental responsibility and social impact.
Throughout the activity, participants learned about the environmental importance of these trees, sustainable planting techniques, and their role in preserving biodiversity and supporting local agriculture.
The day provided an opportunity for colleagues and families to connect and give back to nature. We are proud to see our team members leading the way in Edgo’s commitment to building a greener, more sustainable future.
