Thaer Alasad of Reda Pump Libya promotion

Edgo is pleased to announce that Thaer Alasad has been promoted to General Manager of Reda Pump Libya (RPL), Edgo’s electric submersible pump business in Libya. Thaer joined Edgo in Tripoli as the Quality Assurance Manager in 2003 but rapidly progressed to take on the position of Group QHSE Manager.

Thaer has extensive experience in the manufacturing of electronics and industrial controls as well as system integration. After graduating from Western Kentucky University in Electrical Engineering Technology, Thaer worked in the USA for 13 years with companies such as Emerson before joining Edgo. Thaer has since successfully spearheaded the ISO accreditation process for the Group companies. Thaer will now be leading the Reda Pump business which has recently relocated to a new and impressive facility at 9km Suani Road in Tripoli.

RPL was established in 1965 in Tripoli, offering sales and technical support services for pumping systems to around 1,600 wells including repair and service facilities. Reda has over 90% of the market share of electrical submersible pumps sales and over two-thirds of Libya’s crude is pumped with Reda products. RPL undertakes installation, commissioning, trouble shooting and inventory control through a team of experienced field service engineers covering all Libyan oilfields.
