Repair and service
Since the 1960s Edgo has operated specialist equipment sales, repair and service facilities to international standards for the oil and gas industry in Africa and the Middle East. The services of these ISO certified facilities include engineering and assembly of oil production systems, provision of field installations and equipment maintenance and repairs. Examples include:
- Reda Pump Libya (RPL), established in 1965 in Tripoli, offers sales and technical support services for pumping systems in around 1,600 wells including repair and services. Reda has over 90% of the market share of Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) sales and over two-thirds of Libya’s crude is pumped with Reda products. RPL undertakes installation, commissioning, trouble shooting and inventory control through a team of experienced field service engineers covering all Libyan oilfields.
- Edgo’s partnership with Schlumberger in Cairo, the Reda Free Zone (RFZ), provides comprehensive technical support to over 800 wells in Egypt, Sudan and Syria. It employs a 110-strong technical and management team. This modern Reda centre is operated by a team of professional engineers who carry out all activities relating to the Reda Pumping Systems. These include systems engineering, assembly, maintenance, repairs, field installations, commissioning, trouble shooting and clients’ inventory management.
- The Reda Ras Al-Khaimah operation, built by Edgo in 1976, provides services for Reda Pumps in the six Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
