Paul trained in chartered accountancy with Spain Bros, London. In 1965 he joined Humphreys & Glasgow Ltd. as a field engineer specialising in chemical plant construction. Subsequently he was appointed personnel manager for the HGS Group in 1978. Paul joined the Edgo Group in 1979 and became senior vice president of finance and administration in 1991 and general manager of Edgo Management Group (EMG) SA in Jordan in 1992. Paul has served as a director of several Edgo Group companies and as special advisor to the Chairman since 1995. He is a non-executive director of the Engineering & Development Group Ltd., Edgo Management Group (EMG) SA and Reda Pump Free Zone (Cairo) – a partnership between Schlumberger and Edgo.
