Marc Mazen Afyouni
Group regional director, Libya and Central Africa
Marc Mazen Afyouni is Group Regional Director for Libya, Algeria and Chad based in Tripoli. Mazen joined Edgo from Schlumberger in early 2008. He had worked at Schlumberger for 27 years since graduating from the University of Grenoble, France in 1981. His initial position was as a wireline logging field engineer and during his time with Schlumberger, Mazen has gained considerable experience in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East in a number of capacities culminating in his appointment as General Manager of Schlumberger Oilfield Services in Chad.
Mazen has extensive knowledge and expertise in the oil and gas service industry in terms of management, business development and international operations. This experience coupled with his strong financial and legal exposure is contributing to Edgo’s growth in the region. Mazen is trilingual, speaking French, English and Arabic.
