Munib R Masri Development Foundation
The foundation is active in Palestine, Lebanon and Jordan and provides financial support to individuals and institutions. Among its initiatives are two new construction projects in Nablus - the Munib R. Masri School of Engineering and Geology at An-Najah National University and the Zahia Masri paediatric ward at Al Ittihad Hospital. The Foundation has also endowed in perpetuity two full scholarships at Birzeit University, donated a library to a school in Gaza, funded a concert programme in Nablus and supported a cultural centre in Ramallah.
At the heart of the Foundation’s mission is the goal of advancing society through the improvement of people’s skills and the environment in which they live. Increasingly, it is adopting a venture philanthropy approach, applying venture capital strategies to charitable donations and focusing on leadership, innovation, long-term funding and organizational development. It is also working in partnership with non-profit organizations that it supports, volunteering expertise, contacts, and general business acumen.
